Janet Clarke really didn't want anyone to know what she was doing after
school.
The low-cut nurse's outfit, the fishnet stockings, the bumping and
grinding she had to do in front of beer-swilling patrons might be a
little hard for some people to understand, she reckoned. But eventually,
the other side of her life became nearly impossible to hide.
"Especially after practices," laughed Clarke, a 37-year-old middle
school teacher in Phoenix. "I get a lot of bruises on my arms and I
think some teachers were probably wondering if I was being abused at
home.
